1:00 p.m., and here's the low battery notification... "Less than 10% battery left. Please connect your phone." - who among us doesn't know that? A discharging device can become a serious problem in various life situations. Fast charging technology comes to the rescue.

Is technology killing battery life?

What older of us still remember the times when we charged our mobile phone once every few or even several days. Today, such a time would be unthinkable.

The galloping development of the entire mobile phone industry, and consequently also other devices such as tablets or mini notebooks, has revolutionized our present world. Today, almost everyone has a phone. With our devices we work, learn, have fun, deal with official matters, look for a plumber, buy holidays, pay in the store ... Over the last several years, the phone has changed from a device for making calls and sending text messages into a "mobile command center". all activities in our lives.

A large, color touch screen, a processor that a good computer user would be proud of, demanding software, more and more memory and better components. All this meant that our devices are constantly on standby, process data, support various applications and ... consume energy. The development of technology definitely goes hand in hand with power consumption, and even though with the development of other phone components, we received better and better batteries, now with intensive use of the device, the accumulated energy will not be enough for more than a few hours.

Why can't we just upgrade the battery enough to make the phone last longer?

The battery in our smartphone is, in other words, a rechargeable battery. It is made of lithium-ion cells. Their most important elements are two electrodes with different potentials placed in an electrolyte - a liquid substance. Reversible oxidation and reduction reactions take place during discharging and charging. As a result, electrons, i.e. carriers of electric current, are released from the cells.

The capacity of the battery depends on the mass of the electrode substances between which the process of electron flow takes place. The higher the capacity, the more energy can be stored. Unfortunately, this is associated with the increasing mass of the battery and the heaviness of the device itself. The market is striving for the thinnest and lightest phones possible, which will make them easier to store and transport. It would be hard to imagine carrying a one-kilogram smartphone in your purse today or holding it with your hand to your ear during a conversation. Physics and chemistry are constant - inventing a physically stable battery that will be enough to fully use such an advanced device as today's smartphone for several days on a single charge will take some time.

My phone discharges in the middle of the day - let's solve this problem

Until no one invents an ultra-light and capacious, yet stable battery (we remember exploding Samsung phones), we have to grab other ways to extend the life of the battery during the day, e.g. at work.

We have a choice of solutions such as carrying an additional charged power bank with us, which we will connect while away from home. However, we must remember to keep it charged at all times. So fast charging technology can come to our aid

Quick Charge and Fast Charge fast charging technologies - what's the difference?

With the development of cellular technology, manufacturers were puzzled over the issues of solving the problem with a rapidly discharging battery. Knowing that it is impossible to build an even larger and heavier battery into a smartphone, they decided to focus on the possibility of very quick replenishment of energy. The first company on the market - Qualcomm developed and patented the Quick Charge technology, which significantly shortened the battery charging time. This is possible by increasing the voltage of the current flowing to the device. Soon after, similar technologies appeared on the market, e.g. Fast Charge, which, however, work on a slightly different principle. Huawei responsible for this technology focused on increasing the current instead of the voltage. The effect in both cases, however, is much faster battery charging.

Fast charging - will it reduce my battery life?

With the introduction of super-fast chargers, customers began to wonder if such charging by increasing the current or voltage would be safe for the batteries in their devices and would not cause them to fail faster or reduce their endurance.

The most important factor that affects this is high temperature. It changes the chemical composition of the battery, and therefore its properties and service life. However, device manufacturers have also thought about it, and devices are equipped with sensors that allow the power to be cut off if the temperature rises to such a level that it could lead to battery failure.

Not only phone manufacturers have secured themselves against such an eventuality. The fact is that in order to fully use the fast charging technology, we must have a phone adapted to it. If you connect a standard low-end phone to a QuickCharge charger, the phone will charge in standard time. This is because charger manufacturers have also equipped their devices with sensors. Thus, we can certainly certify that the fast charging technology is completely safe for our smartphone.

Which 65W fast charging charger?

Having a smartphone with such a function, we can boldly look for a charger that can reduce the charging time to even several minutes. When choosing, we should pay attention to the fact that the charger has a power supply of at least 30W, and preferably 65W. This is the basic feature by which we will recognize the fast charging charger.

Our offer includes 65W chargers from the LDNIO company, which has been producing equipment for mobile and electrical technology for years. These are high-quality products that are distinguished not only by durable, durable materials for production, but also by an original design. Currently, among the assortment of this manufacturer, you can find Quick Charge GAN chargers for 2, 4 or 6 ports with various USB-A, USB-C PD inputs.

The devices are convenient to carry due to their small size. This means that you can always have them with you and charge even several devices at the same time. 65W chargers charge not only smartphones or tablets, but are also compatible with other devices that can be charged via USB, e.g. drones, flashlights, VR goggles, powerbanks, cameras, cameras and many others.

LDNIO chargers are products that can boast of a scratch-resistant housing and 9S standard protections that will protect the device being charged against e.g. overheating, overcharging, too much voltage or current.

It is very important to use USB cables for GAN 65W chargers, which will allow you to transfer more power. LDNIO 65W cables are also available in our store and we present them below.

Good practices when taking care of the battery of devices

Manufacturers of batteries, devices, cables and chargers do everything to keep energy life at the highest level for as long as possible. However, we also have an influence on it. At the end, we decided to collect a handful of the most important information that will allow you to extend the battery life of your phone.

1. Charge the device when it is necessary, preferably when you have the option of plugging in the device when it is not yet fully discharged (preferably at 15-20%) and disconnecting when the battery charge is close to 100%.
2. Do not leave a charged device connected to the power supply for several hours.
3. Turn off unnecessary background apps if you are not using them.
4. Keep the screen backlight time when inactive to a minimum.
5. Turn on the automatic adjustment of screen brightness - this will allow you to adjust the brightness to the prevailing conditions and not emit unnecessary light (your eyes will also thank you for it).
6. Use a dark theme and subdued wallpapers.
7. Check which of the applications collect location information and, if it is not necessary for their operation, revoke their permissions.
8. Turn off unnecessary notifications.
9. Try not to use your phone or store it in extreme temperatures.

In the meantime, may the full battery be with you ;)
